Session 12: Open Forum Discussion on Real World OCM Implementation

Friday, September 8     4:45pm – 5:30pm

Description

At the culmination of the two-day conference, participants will have the opportunity to address any further questions with faculty experts regarding best-practices for delivering high-quality care within the framework of new payment models. Discussion of the accomplishments and challenges experienced with the real-world implementation of OCM and MACRA will provide clinicians with greater insight that can be applied to their practices. Strategies to mitigate barriers to implementation of new data will be discussed in addition to measuring and reporting clinical and quality data. Utilizing the data to further improve patient experiences is essential to meeting the requirements of new payment models and delivering quality care. As new models and pathways are created, practices will experience ‘model overlap’; participants will engage in interactive discussions of how to account for model overlap, optimize incentives, and prepare for additional phases of payment models.
